London, UK (25 February 2017): Global diversified media firm Alpha1Media International on February 25 launched its acclaimed annual list of the top films from around the world which cinema audiences can look forward to watching in 2017.

In the Quintessential category, the top 10 films from across the categories chosen, are ‘Spider-man Homecoming’, ‘Justice League’, ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Dunkirk’, ‘Logan’, ‘Blade Runner 2049’, ‘Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. II’, ‘Sarkar 3’, ‘Tubelight’ and ‘Thor: Ragnorak’.
In The Franchise – Superheroes category, the films, all chosen, are ‘Spider-man Homecoming’, ‘Justice League’, ‘Wonder Woman’, ‘Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. II’, and ‘Thor: Ragnorak’.
In The Franchise – Continuation category, the film are ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge’, ‘Fast and Furious 8’, ‘Alien Covenant’, ‘XXX: Return of Xander Cage’, ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ and ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’.
In The Franchise – Revival category, the films are ‘King Arthur: Legend of the Sword’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Kong: Skull Island’ and ‘The Mummy’.
In The Franchise – First Sequel category, the films chosen is ‘Blade Runner 2049’ and other films are ‘T2 Trainspotting’, ‘John Wick: Chapter 2’ and ‘Kingsman: The Golden Circle’. In The Franchise – TV Adaptation category, the films are ‘Power Rangers’, ‘CHIPS’ and ‘Baywatch’.
In the Auteur category, the film chosen is ‘Dunkirk’ and the other films are ‘Split’, ‘Downsizing’, ‘Mother!’, ‘The Circle’, ‘Song to Song’ and ‘Mary Shelley’.
In the Cross Cultural – World Cinema category, the films chosen are ‘Tubelight’ and ‘Sarkar 3’ and the others are ‘Journey to China: The Mystery of the Iron Mask’, ‘The Foreigner’, ‘Kahaani 2’, ‘Naam Shabana’, ‘Crack’, ‘Dutt’, ‘Kaabil’ and ‘The Worthy’.
In the Action Thrillers category, the films are ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’, ‘American Made’, ‘Red Sparrow’, ‘Hangman’, ‘The Trap’ and ‘Ghost in the Shell’.
In the Comedy category, the film chosen is ‘Suburbicon’ and the others are ‘Logan Luck’ and ‘War Machine’.

The A1Film 2016 Best Producer was given to American producer and President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, for ‘Captain America: Civil War’, No 1 on the A1Film Top 10 List for 2016. The A1Film 2016 Best Director was given to Canadian auteur, Denis Villeneuve for ‘Arrival’, No. 3 on the A1Film Top 10 List for 2016. The A1Film 2016 Best Foreign Picture was given to Indian producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra for the film, ‘Wazir’, starring Indian legendary actor, Amitabh Bachchan, No. 7 in the A1Film Top 10 List for 2016. The A1Film 2016 Best Actor Award was given to American actor Viggo Mortensen for his lead role in the film, ‘Captain Fantastic’, No. 6 in the A1Film Top 10 List for 2016. The A1Film 2016 Best Actress Award was given to American actress Amy Adams leading role in ‘Arrival’, No 3 on the A1Film Top 10 List for 2016.
